Really amazed by Expression Designer and Blend

I’ll be the first one to admit that I definetely am not a great web developer, never have been, and probably never will be either. So yes, in the past I have been using Frontpage, did my thing with ASP.NET (some very basic content development), played around with Flash for a bit, …. but what I have done previously is do some photo editing using Photoshop (even though that was long time gone too) …

So I wanted to come up with a new webdesign for my personal website http://www.dandyman.net, hoping that I would be able to get my hands-on Silverlight, try to embed this blog into it and so on …

In order words, just trying to get used to great technologies and products, and I have to admit …I love Expression Blend, and did some nice editing with Expression Designer too.

Wait until I finally get my hands on Silverlight … I love the animation and storyboard stuff a lot …. but when I really get my hands on it …I know I will get really excited.

And again you start to wonder what’s been keeping you so busy and away from active blogging.

Anyways, I think it’s about time to get things going again, with some cool things coming up in the future, around SQL upgrades, some of the cool Windows 7 stuff and much more to come.

Just give me the time and probably a couple of weeks to brainstorm.

So all of a sudden you start to realize and wonder ..
That after more than a year that this blog has remained untouched .. life was kind of passing by on me …

And so many things that are so sweet about having a passion for technology.
So as I walked into Certification Study area at Techready 8 (Microsoft’s internal readiness conference that is held twice a year in Seattle),
and noticed how many SQL Server 2008 certifications have been released within that year’s timeframe.

So I went for the ‘exams’ ..and all of a sudden … I am ‘certified’ on all SQL Server 2008 Certifications.
